Ki‘ilae Farms is a 48-lot, fee-simple, agricultural subdivision located on the fertile slopes of Mauna Loa in South Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Once part of a Hawaiian fishing village, Ki‘ilae Farms is surrounded by some of the most historic and scenic spots in all of Hawaii, including Pu‘uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park and Kealakekua Bay. With park land to the north and undeveloped land to the south, Ki‘ilae Farms boasts incredible panoramic views with unobstructed sunsets year-round.
Typical climate of this subdivision varies with ocean breezes at the lower coastal lots to cool mauka clouds and rains at the 900 foot elevation. Many of Ki‘ilae Farms lots lie within the renowned Kona coffee belt. The combination of rich volcanic soil, seasonal rainfall and sunny blue skies produces the perfect setting for growing world-class Kona coffee as well as an abundance of mangos, papayas, macadamia nuts, avocados, bananas and citrus of every variety.
Ki‘ilae Farms offers the ultimate in privacy with a gated entry and direct access from Mamalahoa Highway. The subdivision is within minutes of shopping, post offices and State, County and health services. County water, underground utilities and private, paved roads support the modern conveniences in this pastoral and unique setting.
